The Mischief and Mayhem Crew

Bash 2008 – Done and Dusted!!!

The 2008 Variety Bash raised over $1.90 million dollars for the disadvantaged kids of Queensland.

Individually, Mischief & Mayhem (Car 243) raised over $10,000 – an outstanding effort!

The Mischief and Mayhem crew would like to thank everybody who assisted us in raising this money. We would like to acknowledge the generous support of our sponsors:
- Sunprints
- Curtain Wonderland
- Best Western Hotel Tenterfield
- CMK Financial Solution
- City Suspension
- Highway Automatic

Thanks also to our friends and families who gave of their time and energy to raise money for the kids.

As a result of everyone’s awesome efforts, we witnessed Variety Queensland handing over the keys to 3 special buses and a number of laptop computers to the kids who need it most. More importantly we were able, via Variety, to make a difference to people’s lives.

Thanks to AIDCO for donating a 148 piece Crescent tool kit to be raffle with all the proceeds going to Variety. AIDCO are abrasives specialists, supplying precision Grinding Wheels, Diamond Saws, CBN & DIA Wheels, Sanding Belts, Discs, Rolls, Sheets, Nylon Mesh, Accessories and much more. Remember to support the companies which support us and Variety Queensland.

Thanks to Variety and Everydayheros.com.au you can now donate money online. Everydayheros is a website setup solely to take donations on behalf of registered charities. The money is deposited directly into Variety’s bank account to help the kids and credited against our fundraising total. So help us help the sick and disadvantage kids of Queensland by emailing this link to as many people as possible.

Back for 2008!

The Crew of Mischief & Mayhem is back again raising money for the kids. After seeing first-hand the work that Variety does in the community we are determined to raise more money for the 2008 BASH. The smile on the face of a child with Spina bifida in a wheelchair, after using a specially design swing for wheelchairs, is amazing. Also watching a father come close to tears while explaining the difference the support that Variety has given to his child, moves even the manliest bloke.

The 2008 Variety BASH is a motor racing fan’s dream come true. 10 days in a classic car in outback New South Wales finishing in Bathurst for the Supercheap Bathurst 1000. Part of the trip includes an over night stop at Parks, home of The Dish and a pre-race spin around Mount Panorama. That’s the reward for raising the money through out the year for the kids.

This year the T-shirts are back, thanks to Sunprints but we have relocated to the Woodridge Markets on Wimberley road. We are trying to get a few weekends before Christmas to capitalise on people looking for presents. A trivia night is in planning for late February, which should will lots of fun. We have acquired some raffle prizes that should ensure the night is a success. For a little side fundraising project we are selling Fundraising Chocolates from Cadbury, which keeps the total climbing.

The car is presently at Ian Wells Automotive having the engine rebuilt and judging by his reputation it will be pretty strong and reliable when finished. There are a couple of other modification on the drawing board but they are top secret at this stage.
