The Crew of Mischief & Mayhem is back again raising money for the kids. After seeing first-hand the work that Variety does in the community we are determined to raise more money for the 2008 BASH. The smile on the face of a child with Spina bifida in a wheelchair, after using a specially design swing for wheelchairs, is amazing. Also watching a father come close to tears while explaining the difference the support that Variety has given to his child, moves even the manliest bloke.
The 2008 Variety BASH is a motor racing fan’s dream come true. 10 days in a classic car in outback New South Wales finishing in Bathurst for the Supercheap Bathurst 1000. Part of the trip includes an over night stop at Parks, home of The Dish and a pre-race spin around Mount Panorama. That’s the reward for raising the money through out the year for the kids.
This year the T-shirts are back, thanks to Sunprints but we have relocated to the Woodridge Markets on Wimberley road. We are trying to get a few weekends before Christmas to capitalise on people looking for presents. A trivia night is in planning for late February, which should will lots of fun. We have acquired some raffle prizes that should ensure the night is a success. For a little side fundraising project we are selling Fundraising Chocolates from Cadbury, which keeps the total climbing.
The car is presently at Ian Wells Automotive having the engine rebuilt and judging by his reputation it will be pretty strong and reliable when finished. There are a couple of other modification on the drawing board but they are top secret at this stage.
Cheers
Brett
